Answer by GrayTheory
I wouldn’t rely on the built-in mic, but you can use the computer itself, yes. Meaning you can use QuickTime or Garageband to actually do the enter, but you’ll want to find a good mic that can pick up the entire room and maintain quality. Then you can just record the same way, but the quality of what you’ll get will be much best than if you just used the built-in mic.

This article discusses about the various essential Desktop-Video Conference features that created a history in the world of communication ever since its invention.

The desktop video conference technology has revolutionized the complete work process making it possible to communicate easily with people living far way. Now you can instantly contact people living on the other side of the globe any time you want.

How did desktop video-conference reform the education system?
Now you can go for paperless education system, hence you may call it green education system. You can opt for online education and attend classes from any part of the world just at your convenient time. It is also a grand opportunity for people willing to give private tuitions. This way you can save the travelling time and expenses besides cutting down the cost incurred in buying note books and other study materials. You can also record these sessions and go over them as many times you want.

How did desktop video conference contributed in business development?
Desktop video conferencing offers the chance to work together regardless of your physical location. Previously, it was next to impossible to do business with overseas countries and people living in remote areas because every communication required a face to face meeting and there was absolutely no way to convey an urgent message instantly. But with the invention of video conferencing system, you can instantly convey your message to not only a person but to a large group of people. Additionally, you can share files and also access their desktop to share presentations and workout various work plan.

What do you need to initiate a desktop video conference?
You really don’t need too many stuff in order to be able to start a desktop video conference call. All you need is a computer with a webcam installed and an internet connection (desktop computers mostly do not come with a webcam by default, in most cases they are purchased separately, but there are few desktop which comes with a webcam). These are the items, which you need to purchase. The rest of the stuffs are free (you may buy paid stuff to enjoy additional benefits and features but I think the free stuff will serve your purpose). You will also need a desktop video conferencing software, which will serve an as platform to be able to conduct the video conference call.

What features you can expect to find in a desktop-video conference tool that will help during your conference?
You can schedule your video conference meeting and send invitation to the participants to join the call. You will not need a projector since the video conferencing software will have the feature to share your presentations with all your participants. During your desktop video-conference call you can also send messages to selective as well as all the participants at the same time. You can work on other participants desktop with permission because these tools are highly secured, so that you do not experience any security threats from hackers, hence you need the permission of the respective participants to be able to access his or her desktop.

So isn’t desktop-video conference a boon to the modern, advanced world?
