IPEVO, Inc., a designer and maker of technology products for education and business, has just released the Wireless Presentation System-HD, or WPS-HD. The WPS-HD joins the standard Wireless Presentation System, or WPS. Both products offer ways to project desktop contents from PC or Mac without computers being physically connected to the projector. The WPS-HD and WPS are now available for purchase through IPEVO’s online store (http://www.ipevo.com).

Both the WPS and WPS-HD provide a solution to time-consuming logistical issues associated with physically connecting computers to projectors in order to show desktop contents. The WPS devices communicate with PCs or Macs wirelessly in order to display desktops in real time and at speeds of up to 30fps. The WPS-HD also features a “Speedy mode” which buffers video, allowing for smoother playback of full-motion video. The WPS-HD supports DirectX for graphically-intensive applications such as video games.

As the name implies, WPS-HD supports 720p high-definition projection, though there are a number of standard resolutions also available. Both WPS devices support a VGA connection, and the WPS-HD additionally supports HDMI. While connected via HDMI, WPS-HD can send audio as well as video to the projector. Audio is then sent through the projector’s speakers.

The devices use a browser-based interface through which users can download the software utility. An alternative to downloading the software is the Plug-and-Play Token. Users can insert this USB token in order to run the WPS directly. A token is included with the WPS-HD, and can be created with any USB flash drive for use with the standard WPS.

The WPS and WPS-HD support a 4-in-1 split screen mode to speed presentations and compare data. Up to four desktops can be displayed simultaneously in a 2 x 2 grid on the projector screen. Configuration is straightforward, with each computer user clicking on a different number in the grid. Additionally, the WPS-HD features a browser-based Conference Mode wherein a single administrator can control split-screen and full-screen desktop contents on the fly.

One other point of similarity between the devices is a WiFi Access Mode. Computers anywhere on the existing WiFi network can connect to WPS or WPS-HD and be made to display desktop contents.

In a recent video interview, Michael Cornett, President of Shine Online Marketing in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, spoke about the excitement and enjoyment he is experiencing after opening his internet marketing agency (via SearchMarketMe) during the summer of 2011.

Karren: What are you finding most exciting and most rewarding about operating your own internet marketing agency?

Cornett: I enjoy the challenge of going out, obtaining new customers, and making sure that I have everything in my own business running smoothly, that we’re performing well, that our clients are happy and that we’re increasing online sales for their businesses. When I have a client tell me about a big sale they just made to a customer who found them on Facebook, that’s very satisfying.

Karren: What help are you receiving from the other Agency Owners in the Network?

Cornett: I’m always conversing, asking questions, and answering questions if I can, through either the [private Agency Owner Facebook Group] or phone calls or emails. As far as direct support, web contriving is one thing I’m getting straight through another Agency Owner, as well as some national search engine optimization – really anything that I’m not 100% comfortable with, I reach out to the other Agency Owners, either with an oppugned or actually getting the fulfillment done.

Karren: How did the recent national conference improve your relationships in the Network?

Cornett: It’s one thing to interact via email, the phone…or flush through Facebook, but its another to actually meet people and build those relationships one-on-one. It’s nice to put a face with a name, not just a figuring. It really helped me feel more comfortable interact with different people that I didn’t know before.

Karren: What’s your advice for someone investigating the SearchMarketMe opportunity?

Cornett: If you’re fully dedicated to opening up your ain internet marketing agency but maybe you’re just not sure about how to go about it, or you need more education in certain areas…talk with us! Karren: What will your business look similar in three years?

Cornett: I definitely plan to have multiple employees working for me, and having my own web design [group]. I plan on having additional salespeople, probably in other locations, and to grow. As we talked about at the national conference, you want to build a business, not be the business, so moving forward that’s something that I will be striving for.

How about putting up flyers in copy centers caring kinkos? People coming there need to get their work done. Maybe they might read the flyer and think “huh.. i could get out of here and stop running back and forth.”.. its an idea.

Question by lili: is there an online service that allows me to host an isdn video conference?
I have to “appear” in court and am able to do so virtually. The one requirement from the county court system is that it must be an isdn video conference. They have not been able to provide more details, but I postulate to get it set-up. Can someone help me figure this reveal? I recognize any help!
